“The purpose of the event is to engage students in middle school to high school in STEM activities and to foster a love for STEM in them,” said CBU Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Mathematics student Trey McGinnis
If you have a middle school or high school student who has an interest in anything STEM, they may enjoy attending the spring edition of BUC E-Day at Christian Brothers University. They will enjoy a full day of hands-on competition experiments; demonstrations and interaction with current CBU students and teachers. Students will also be able to compete individually or as a team in five different competitions: Balsa Tower, CO2 Car, Egg Drop and K’nex Bridge. Some of the open workshops include Concrete Materials Design, Electric Motor Construction and IBM Watson. There will be a number of demonstrations, including the bed of nails, which is also known as the “loop of death.” Registration is free and you may purchase a lunch pack for $3. Register for BUC E-Day.
