Baseball and apple pie. Well, I love one (the latter) more than the other, but a day at the ballpark is always fun. The Memphis Redbirds invite you to its 2018 Education Days, so you may enjoy a day of fun and cheer them on to victory. You do not have to be a fan of baseball to enjoy these education days. There is something all-American about sitting in the stands watching a baseball ball game. It’s about as big league as you are going to get in West Tennessee (other than the Jackson Generals). You may attend one, two or all of the games for a fun day at the park. Remember to wear sunscreen.
Event: Memphis Redbirds 2018 Education Days
Venue: AutoZone Park, 198 Union Avenue, Memphis, 38103
Suggested age: Three years old through adult, but all family may attend.
Date: Monday, April 16, 2018
Time: 11:05 a.m.
Opponent: Iowa Cubs
Admission: Admission is $10.
Parking: Paid parking is available near/around the ballpark.
Note: No outside food or drinks are allowed in the ballpark. There is an option to purchase a lunch pack for $12 that includes admission, a hotdog and a soda. The concession stands will be open, but the lunch pack is the best deal for your time (there are very, very, very long concession lines) and money. You will also have in/out privileges if you prefer to bring your own lunch and eat it in your car or outside of the stadium.
|Get to know baseball.|
Schedule: Meet at AutoZone Park at 10:30 a.m. to check-in with the event leader. The first pitch is 11:05 a.m. You do not have to stay for the length of the game (approximately 2:45 minutes).
Reservation deadline: Reservations will be accepted through Friday, March 30, 2018, which is the deadline. You will receive an e-mail response once your reservation is confirmed. All lunch pack orders must be placed by Thursday, April 5, 2018.
