High school! Oh my goodness. If you are in those years, be strong. If you are heading to those years, be strong. After our children make it through the high school years, we are going to have to figure out a way to afford college. HoneLife Academy (HLA) Senior Counselor Lani Carey wants to make that task easy and will discuss the many scholarships, awards and other recognition your child may apply for and how to prepare now to be eligible. Some topics that will be covered:
- *ACTS/SATS/PSATS – When and why to take them? What is the difference?
- *AP and Honors Courses, Dual Enrollment, College Applications, FAFSA, Transcripts, Financial Aid (TN Promise, HOPE), Scholarships and Recommendation Letters, Portfolios, Evaluations, special circumstances (NCAA, Military Academies).
The workshop will be held on the HLA campus. If you are not able to attend the workshop, you may connect online for the Facebook Live presentation. A Q&A will follow the workshop, so you will be able to ask questions.
The workshop is free and you do not have to be an HLA family to attend or view online.
