I use to drive past Bäckermann’s Country Market (formerly Bäckermann’s Bakery & Cheese) and never took notice of the market. It was just another business on the side of the road. One day, I decided to visit the store. I will not tell you how many times I now stop by Bäckermann’s every chance I get. I even dare my children to not ask me to stop by there on our way to and from music lessons every week.
We are getting a special treat to visit Bäckermann’s and see how they make the delicious foods they serve everyday as well as learn about the Mennonite community. We will see their baking process, tour the store and visit the petting zoo. There will also be an opportunity for you to purchase lunch and dine inside the store or outside on the patio. Yeah, I dare you to not buy any of their baked goods. The cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies are already on my shopping list. And, let’s not talk about the breads. Bäckermann’s (Backermann means “baker man” in German) is a family business and I just love supporting local business.
