Homeschool Graduation 2021 Details
Date: Saturday, June 12, 2021
Location: Robin’s Nest Event Venue, Toone
Time: 4 p.m.
Graduates will wear a cap and gown to have uniformity during the ceremony. We ask students not add decorations or other accessories to the gowns or mortar boards to maintain consistency. The robe has an open neckline on the front and the bottom is about 8″ – 10″ from the ground. Below is the requested dress code for graduates.
Ladies are asked to wear a dress or dress pants. Keep modesty in mind: above the waist, not too revealing and below the waist, not too short.
Gentlemen are asked to wear a collared shirt, tie, and long pants.
Graduates are asked not to wear flip flops, Crocs, T-shirts, or shorts. If you are not certain, we suggest wearing “church clothes”. Contact one of the coordinators if you have any questions about the dress code.
A professionally made honor cord may be worn if the graduate has been recognized by their school or other official organization. You will be responsible for ordering and purchasing the cords yourself.
Graduates are responsible for obtaining their own diploma. If your diploma will not be issued before the graduation date (ex: due to final grades not being submitted and processed, etc.), your graduate will receive an empty diploma cover. Some umbrella schools issue a “letter of intent to graduate”, which you may request from your school or simply wait and put the diploma in the cover once it is received.
