All Aboard for Train Heritage Day
Train Heritage Day is once again rolling through the Memphis area with events at four historic locations for a day of family-friendly fun and learning. The free and highly anticipated annual event will have activities from hands-on experiences, bluegrass music, to model trains in display.
The four locations in the Memphis area that will have events all day long are:
Morton Museum of Collierville History { 196 North Main Street, Collierville, 38017 }
Depot Visitors Center at Collierville Town Square { 125 North Rowlett Street, Collierville, 38017 }
Collierville VFW Post 5066 { 347 South Center Street, Collierville, 38017 }
Germantown Train Depot Museum { 2260 West Street, Germantown, 38138 }
Other fun activities include the premiere of Steel Rails & Southern Tails, a documentary; tours of historic railcars, and giveaways. If you are a train lover or just love history, Train Heritage Day is one to put on your calendar for Saturday, August 15, 2026!
