Blue Mountain Christian University to Hold a Homeschool Preview Day
Blue Mountain Christian University (BMCU) will host a Spring Homeschool Preview Day for high school homeschool students to visit its campus on Friday, February 17, 2023, to learn about the university and what it has to offer in higher education.
Prospective students and their parents are invited to visit the university for a morning that includes a tour of the campus, a meet and greet with campus leadership, and to hear from other homeschool graduates about their experiences as current BMCU students.
“One of the reasons parents homeschool their kids is to make sure they receive a quality personalized education and Blue Mountain Christian University is able to continue that personalized education from a Biblical Worldview for their students. That is what we are hoping to showcase on preview day,” said Cyle Haulcomb, Blue Mountain Christian University Associate Director of Admissions.
Blue Mountain Christian University was founded in 1873 as Blue Mountain Female College Institute. It underwent a name change to Blue Mountain College in 1905, and then again in November 2022 to its new name of Blue Mountain Christian University which better represents its school values. The freshman class of 2023 will be the first to graduate as Blue Mountain Christian University students.

Blue Mountain offers a Homeschool Grant for entering freshman only who were homeschooled for at least the last two years of high school. The grant is renewable to the student if they maintain a 3.0 grade point average.
