FIELD TRIP: Adventures with Alpacas {Members}
EVENT DETAILS
This informative and fun field trip begins with a brief discussion on alpaca etiquette. Once the basics have been covered, we will discuss the unique characteristics of alpaca. The class will then come face-to-face with members of the herd. Following the meet and greet, the class will create a special make and take craft formed from the fiber of the animals they just met. Finally, the group will explore the Farm to Fiber store to see the end result of alpaca fiber production. If weather and time permit, we will go on a farmstead scavenger hunt.
SUGGESTED AGE/GRADE
Preschool through high school, and adults.
