Homeschool Consignment Sale Moves to Online Shopping

The Homeschool Consignment Sale (HCS) has moved to online shopping until the next in-person planned sale in 2023. The in-person sale, originally scheduled to be a three-day event in July, was extended through mid-October due to shoppers enjoying the opportunity to see a variety of curriculum in person.
There were more than 20 homeschool families that consigned items giving shoppers a variety of books in different subjects from which to choose for the upcoming school year. Along with books, shoppers were able to find DVDs, games, manipulatives, and other items typically used to homeschool. With the sale being held in Bolivar, it attracted shoppers form both the Jackson and Memphis areas.
Some of the comments heard from shoppers included:
“It is nice having somewhere local we can actually look at the books before we buy something.”
“I found the rest of what I needed for school.”
The in-person shopping experience gave homeschoolers an opportunity to see, touch, and flip through curriculum they were considering purchasing. Some of the curriculum for sale were from popular publishers like Apologia, Abeka, The Good and The Beautiful, Math-U-See, Notgrass, and Saxon Math.

There are still a lot of items to shop in subjects that include art, language arts, math, science, social studies, and more, as well as those items for different grade levels. Items are added to the HCS website Monday through Friday.
The HCS also offers in-person delivery to the Jackson and Memphis areas, as well as items may be shipped. If you are interested in becoming a consignor, HCS consignor registration opens again January 2023. Until that time, you may shop, follow the HCS Facebook page, and subscribe for e-mail updates, so you do not miss the new items that are added or HCS updates.
