Notice of Intent to Home School forms are due from Independent Homeschoolers. Last day to submit the form is the first day of public school in your district. You may also now check your TCAP Family Portal.

Class of 2027 and Class of 2028 students may complete community service hours now to meet the Tennessee Promise requirement.

TUESDAY, August 4, 2026
Roane State Community College is offering a Homeschool Information Session for prospective students and their families on its main campus in Harriman { 276 Patton Lane, Harriman, 37748 } inside the Vann Student Center (Dunbar Building) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET. Pre-registration is not required, but recommended.

Last week for the Phoenix Theatres Entertainment Free Summer Movie Series. Featured this week are Dog Man and Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken. Learn more about the series and see trailers for the current and upcoming movies.

 

Tennessee Tuesday free admission at the Memphis Zoo from 9 am. to 6 p.m. (close of gates). Advanced reservations are required for all guests and only six tickets per reservation.

The Metal Museum { 374 Metal Museum Drive, Memphis, 38106 } offers free admission to Tennessee residents with a Tennessee state issued photo ID for visitors 18 years of age or older. Visitors under the age of 17 without a state issued photo ID must be accompanied by a current Tennessee resident with a valid photo ID.
