Let Your Kid Try Hockey For Free
UPDATE 1/30/23: This event is now full, but a waitlist has been started.
The Mid-South Ice House is hosting a one-day Try Hockey for Free event at its ice rink in Olive Branch Mississippi on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Children (boys and girls), ages four to 12 years old, will have a chance to experience the ice with trained coaching staff.
Try Hockey for Free events are held twice a year at ice rinks across the county. Although children of all skill levels are invited to attend, the training is geared towards children who have never been on the ice or are beginners with minimum ice skating experience. No experience is required and children with disabilities are encouraged to attend. All equipment needed will be provided for use during the session.
According to Try Hockey for Free, children can benefit from the sport in the following manners:
- Hockey builds confidence.
- Hockey builds mental agility.
- Hockey teaches persistence.
- Hockey develops social skills.
