Southwest Tennessee Community College Offers Dual Enrollment at UT Martin Campus
Southwest Tennessee Community College (SWTCC) is hosting a College Success Parent Night at the UT Martin Somerville Center for high school juniors and seniors, and their parents to learn about dual enrollment options now offered in Somerville. Through the new partnership of SWTCC and the UT Martin Somerville Center, Fayette County students, and those in its surrounding area will have more convenient access for taking SWTCC classes for dual enrollment credit.
Dual Enrollment
Attendees will learn about free online tutoring services, programs of study in nursing, agriculture, criminal justice, and more. High school juniors and seniors with a 3.0 grade point average will be considered for dual enrollment.
With SWTCC classes being offered at the UT Martin Somerville Center, students may consider the campus for college as they advance towards a bachelor’s degree and beyond. Along with being able to use the Tennessee Promise, the courses SWTCC students take will be transferable to UT Martin through the Tennessee Trabsfer Pathway that can lead to earning a four-year degree.
