First Day Hikes Held at Area State Parks Near You

Several State Parks across West Tennessee are holding First Day Hikes to help you get an active and healthy start as you enter into the 2023 New Year. The Tennessee State Parks annually offers the free, guided First Day Hikes to Tennesseans of all ages. There are more than 10 park locations across West Tennessee to visit, so pack up the children, bring grandparents, and other extended family, and friends, and enjoy a First Day Hike at a park near you.

Although the hikes are free (Tennessee State Parks do not charge an access fee), each park location that is holding a First Day Hike has a suggested donation for participants. The donation goes towards park maintenance and furthering the mission of continuing to provide free access to our state parks. You can read how your donation will make a difference in sustaining the Tennessee State Parks.
