TNSTRONG Ambassador Program Empowers Teens to Fight Tobacco

Advocacy for a cause of raising awareness of about the dangers of tobacco and nicotine is the purpose of TNSTRONG Ambassador, a youth-led movement in the State of Tennessee. The program is made up of students, ages 13 – 19, who are seeking an opportunity to make a difference, not only locally in their own community, but also statewide. Their mission is to “Protect, Promote, and Improve the health and prosperity of of people in Tennessee.
The program is overseen by the Tennessee Department of Health and Tobacco Use Prevention and Control Program. Students who participate in the program must be i rising eighth grader through college freshman and will serve July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027/2028.
Students will grow through the ambassador program and gain:
- Leadership skills
- Advocacy and public speaking skills
- Connections with youth leaders across Tennessee
- Experience working collectively for the cause of creating a healthier, tobacco-free Tennessee for now and the future
Students may learn more about the program and apply to be considered. The application deadline is Sunday, August 30, 2026.
