DESCRIPTION:EVENT DETAILS\nOur visit will include the Native American Sports & Hunting program\, a craft of snake painting\, a museum scavenger hunt\, hands-on archaeology lab time\, and a tour of the village site. \nNative American Sports & Hunting\nIntroduces students to pre-historic games and hunting techniques. \n• Activity: Chunky and spear throwing with atlatls \nSnake Painting\nStudents learn about the important role that snakes played in Mississippian mythology and paint a wooden snake to take home. \nSUGGESTED AGE/GRADE\nThe suggested age/grade is mid-elementary school through high school students\, and adults. \nDATE & TIME\nFriday\, November 7\, 2025\, at 11 a.m. \nLOCATION\nC.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa – Memphis \nPRICE\nAdult – $4\nStudent – $6\nChild – $6 \nNOTES\nPlease only register for your family; do not combine different families on one registration. If your child is attending with another family\, please register your child and add a note in the comments with the name of the family bringing your child. \nPARKING\nParking is free at the C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa. \nREGISTRATION DEADLINE\nRegistration will remain open through Tuesday\, October 28\, 2025\, at 12 p.m. CST or until spaces fill. Funds must be received by Tuesday\, October 28\, 2025\, at 12 p.m. CST to be included with the group.
