FIELD TRIP: C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa

EVENT DETAILS
Our visit will include the Native American Sports & Hunting program, a craft of snake painting, a museum scavenger hunt, hands-on archaeology lab time, and a tour of the village site.
Native American Sports & Hunting
Introduces students to pre-historic games and hunting techniques.
• Activity: Chunky and spear throwing with atlatls
Snake Painting
Students learn about the important role that snakes played in Mississippian mythology and paint a wooden snake to take home.
SUGGESTED AGE/GRADE
The suggested age/grade is mid-elementary school through high school students, and adults.

Please only register for your family; do not combine different families on one registration. If your child is attending with another family, please register your child and add a note in the comments with the name of the family bringing your child.

Parking is free at the C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa.

Registration will remain open through Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 12 p.m. CST or until spaces fill. Funds must be received by Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 12 p.m. CST to be included with the group. Refunds will not be issued after Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 12 p.m. CST.

There are three payment options. Include your name, the name associated with the order, and the order number of the registration in the comments/as a note, so your funds will be applied properly.
