Isabella&Sebastian Celebrate Latest Music Project at Release Party

Music artists Isabella&Sebastian celebrated their latest music project during a release party that was held at the Memphis Listening Lab on Tuesday, July 16, 2024. Family and other fans filled every seat with excitement and expectation for the evening that featured a premier of the music duo’s latest video and songs that included “Lavender”.

Isabella and Sebastian, often referred to as Bella and Seba, both bring several years of music experience to their partnership. Bella has been singing since she was a little girl and wrote her first song when she was about 10 years old. Seba plays several instruments and holds multiple certifications in Music Studies and Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music – Berklee Online. The talent from their combined musical backgrounds has translated into a unique sound that listeners have enjoyed from Isabella&Sebastian for almost two years since they began creating together.

“Bella and Seba’s friendship and unique music backgrounds allows them to focus on writing music and lyrics that delivers what’s best for the song. Both started very early in life with each developing long-term professional visions for their music careers. Their shared vision as professional musicians create a natural foundation, focus, and priority for excellence that’s far beyond their years,” said Everett Stephens of talent agency 767 Agency. “Bella and Seba genuinely care for each other like sister and brother. This care translates into a strong desire to pour themselves into delivering individual parts that each love. Seba challenges himself to write original music that Bella loves and Bella challenges herself to write lyrics that serve the music best. This results in an unselfish approach to write in a manner that first serves the song.”

Bella and Seba originally met as members of Soundbox, an all-original rock band from Memphis, Tennessee. As members of Soundbox, they recognized a shared interest in creating a new pop sound together. While both remain active members of Soundbox, they have stepped out in a different direction as Isabella&Sebastian to discover a new and different musical sound.

Both artists write music daily and began to explore each other’s personal music catalog. Bella’s background leans more towards Indie folk while Seba’s natural style leans towards funk, Afro-Cuban, and Jazz. Finding similarities in their style of writing and music expression inspired them to start experimenting on a new project that resulted in Isabella&Sebastian.

“The sum of their interests resulted in a completely original sound that quickly hooks you with an open invitation to vibe,” said Mr. Stephens. “Isabella&Sebastian’s sound is a forward leaning retro pop vibe. Their pop-fusion style is completely unique in the current music landscape as it’s an original hook driven fusion of funk, jazz, Afro-Cuban with whimsy synth elements. Coupling the music with a one-in-a-million vocal tone and range delivers a fresh pop vibe that quickly stands out in a crowded pop scene.”

‘Lavender’ was released on August 14, 2024.

Bella and Seba are currently in the music studio through the end of August wrapping up the recordings of 10 songs. The plan is to release and promote one song per month over the next year as they work to build their international fan base and tour in the near future.
