Upcoming ACT Test Dates and Prep Resources {2026/2027}
The American College Testing (ACT) is one of the standardized tests many colleges and universities in the United States accept for college admissions. Students who take the test are assessed in English, mathematics, reading, and scientific reasoning. A writing section is included for those students applying to schools that require an essay score. Otherwise, the writing section is optional.
The ACT is offered offline (paper and pencil) and online (since April 2025) for national test dates. The following are upcoming test dates and the registration deadlines.
The first 2026/2027 test date will be in September.
TEST DATE: Saturday, September 19, 2026 – Regular registration deadline is Friday, August 14, 2026, and the late registration deadline with late fees is Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
TEST DATE: Saturday, October 17, 2026* – Regular registration deadline is Friday, September 11, 2026, and the late registration deadline with late fees is Tuesday, September 29, 2026.
TEST DATE: Saturday, December 12, 2026* – Regular registration deadline is Friday, November 6, 2026, and the late registration deadline with late fees is Monday, November 29, 2026.
TEST DATE: Saturday, February 27, 2027 – Regular registration deadline is Friday, January 22, 2027, and the late registration deadline with late fees is Monday, February 9, 2027.
TEST DATE: Saturday, April 10, 2027* – Regular registration deadline is Friday, March 5, 2027, and the late registration deadline with late fees is Wednesday, March 23, 2027.
TEST DATE: Saturday, June 12, 2027* – Regular registration deadline is Friday, May 7, 2027, and the late registration deadline with late fees is Friday, May 25, 2027.
TEST DATE: Saturday, July 10, 2027 – Regular registration deadline is Friday, June 4, 2027, and the late registration deadline with late fees is Friday, June 22, 2027.
*Test Information Release (TIR) is available for these test dates. Students who test on these dates will receive “a digital copy of the multiple-choice test questions, their answers, a copy of their answer document, the answer key, and the conversion table used in determining your ACT scores“.

The ACT is offered at a number of locations throughout West Tennessee (and Tennessee). When you register, you may choose a testing site close to you if space is available, so register soon.
