Lakelin Lemmings Makes Special Appearance at Grand Ole Opry

Country music singer and songwriter Lakelin Lemmings got a taste of what it will be like headlining at the Grand Ole Opry when she took to the historic stage and sang the National Anthem for a Tennessee Army National Guard (TNG) commissioning ceremony. The special ceremony was held on Sunday, August 17, 2025, during which 21 new officers were commissioned.

Until that moment, it was the first time Lakelin had ever been in the Grand Ole Opry let alone stepped foot on the stage.

“It felt like a dream walking around the rooms and halls where all my favorite artists have been. Seeing things, I’ve only ever seen in photos and videos,” said Lakelin, a home school graduate, who has been making strides in the country music arena.

She was excited to be placed in the Roy Acoff dressing room to prepare for her performance. The experience is one Lakelin described as “unforgettable!”

“Singing the National Anthem for the National Guard was already such a privilege,” said Lakelin, who later was presented with a commander’s coin by TNG Major General Warner Ross. “When the Major General presented me with a commander’s coin, I felt both humbled and incredibly honored. It was a moment of recognition I’ll treasure forever. I mean standing among heroes and knowing that my small part was valued in such a meaningful way.”

Since the release of Lakelin’s debut single, “American Dreamin’”, she has been performing across Tennessee for her already established fans as well as new ones. “American Dreamin’” has also received a lot of attention and airplay on country music radio stations.

Lakelin is in high expectation for the release of her next single,“Parking Lot”, which will be available on Friday, September 5, 2025. She wrote the song with Ash Bowers and Tiffany Goss.

“My song ‘Parking Lot’ means a lot to me because growing up in a small town there’s not much to do. So me and my friends would all meet up in a parking lot and hang out. We’d play music, gossip, and just enjoy our time together,” said Lakelin, whose songs tell the stories of the beauty of smalltown country living.  “Those times meant so much to me, so I decided to write a song about it. Cause we may have grown up and went our separate ways, but we’ll always have the parking lot.”

“Parking Lot” is currently on pre-save before its release on September 5, 2025. A high pre-save rating will help boost Lakelin’s promotion and circulation of the song on its release date. You may pre-save “Parking Lot”.
