Elmwood Cemetery Tour

EVENT DETAILS
We will learn about Elmwood and Memphis history. Buried beneath our trees are people from every walk of life and culture, famous and infamous, generals, mayors, soldiers and perfectly ordinary citizens. Students will also learn customs from various cultures and funerary symbolism of the Victorian era.

Activity
The tour finishes with monument rubbings that students will make and can take home.

SUGGESTED AGE/GRADE
The suggested age/grade is mid-elementary school through high school students, and adults.

NOTES
Please only register for your family; do not combine different families on one registration. If your child is attending with another family, please register your child and add a note in the comments with the name of the family bringing your child.

Per the venue, all people participating on the tour must have a purchased ticket.

PARKING
Parking is free at the Elmwood Cemetery.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Registration will remain open through Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 12 p.m. CST or until spaces fill. Funds must be received by Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 12 p.m. CST to be included with the group.

WAIVER & RELEASE
Read the field trip waiver and release form.

PAYMENT OPTIONS
There are three payment options. Include your name, the name associated with the order, and the order number of the registration in the comments/as a note, so your funds will be applied properly.

1) Check written to “Ponomo” and received at Homeschool Roster, P.O. Box 614, Bolivar, Tennessee 38008.

2) PayPal as “Friends and Family” to Homeschool Roster ([email protected]). Funds will be returned if not sent in that manner.

3) Venmo to Homeschool Roster (@homeschoolroster), not a purchase. Funds will be returned if not sent in that manner.

Refunds will not be issued after Thursday, October 9, at 12 p.m. CST.
