NCAA Sports Home School Webinar to be Held in December

The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) is holding a webinar for homeschooled college-bound student athletes on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. The webinar will provide an opportunity for students and their parents to learn the requirements for athletes, who want to continue playing their favorite sport during their collegiate years.

Playing competitive sports is often a determining factor for families considering home school. Many do not pursue home school, because of their lack of awareness of athletic opportunities at the high school level where students often hone their skills in a sport and receive scholarships. Home school high school students are able to participate in recreation sports, private sports organizations, home school leagues, and even Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association (TSSAA) sports at their zoned public school.

Home school students are eligible to play collegiate level sports and even earn athletic scholarships. The NCAA webinar will walk you through the process to get your athlete to the point of eligibility.

You may register for the NCAA Fall Webinar, which is free and will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. EST.
