EVENT DETAILS
The story of the Sultana disaster is a little known piece of history. The maritime disaster was the worst in United States, even more devastating than the Titanic. We will tour the museum, learn about the event, and the many lives, which were lost and the legacy left behind.

NOTES
Suggested reading before the field trip to learn more about the event include The River Between Us (fifth grade), Crossing the Deadline (fifth and sixth grade), When Hope Sank (high school), and other readings. Students may also read the stories of the passengers.
PARKING
Parking is free at the Sultana Disaster Museum.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
Registration will remain open through Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12 p.m. CST or until spaces fill. Funds must be received by Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 12 p.m. CST to be included with the group.
