Share Your Ideas as a Teen Library Ambassador at the Collierville Library

Does your teen have ideas of how to promote reading and would like to offer feedback on teen library services offered at Lucius E. & Elsie C. Burch, Jr. Library {501 Poplar View Parkway, Collierville, 38017}? Becoming a Teen Library Ambassador is a position that will allow them those opportunities.

The Teen Library Ambassador program (TLA) is composed of up to 20 teens in the sixth through twelfth grades. The students that participate in the program will provide feedback on teen library services and assist the library by completing volunteer tasks. Interested students will be asked to complete an application and will be chosen based on their responses regarding their desire to promote reading, the ability to work cooperatively with others, and a commitment to regularly attend meetings. The application for the fall semester of the Teen Library Ambassador Program opens on Monday, July 21, 2025, and closes on Monday, August 18, 2025. Ambassadors will serve from September through December.

You may read more about volunteer opportunities at the library and apply to become a Teen Library Ambassador (application opens in July for fall and November for spring). Being a Teen Library Ambassador can be used to complete Tennessee Promise community service hours.
