Financial Literacy Simulation Offered for Teens

There is no better month than April, National Financial Capability Month, for your teenager to learn about money management. The UT Extension Family Consumer Sciences is presenting On My Own: Financial Literacy Simulation at the Lucius E. & Elsie C. Burch Jr. Library in Collierville on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 5:30 p.m.

The event is geared towards teenagers, ages 13- 18, where they will learn important personal finance lessons such as managing a bank account, determining a budget and savings goal, and discovering careers. Exploring these topics and experiencing adulthood in a hands-on and exciting way is a great opportunity for teens who earn allowance, have a job, and those heading to college.
