Discovery Park of America Homeschool Days Return Through Year’s End

Homeschool Days at the Discovery Park of America return this summer with a monthly schedule through the end of the year. The monthly programs are geared toward students ages six to 17 and provide education and fun in the areas of S.T.E.M., history, creative arts, and more. Members pay $7/$17 and non-members pay $17/$27 with early bird pricing available when you register no later than the day before the selected Homeschool Day. For now, sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a possibility of an afternoon program being offered later this year. Check back to learn of added program times.

America 250 – Students will celebrate the rich history of America with a theme around the nation’s 250th anniversary. { register }

JULY 14, 2026

America 250: Great Escape (Colonial Theme) – Students will find themselves in 1776 while testing their wits as they try to free themselves from an immersive Colonial Escape Room. { register }

August 11, 2026

Ecosystem Explorers – Students will become nature detectives during this interactive experience. There will ne hands-on learning and fun with an real owl pellet dissection, pond study, and exploration of local wildlife. { register }

September 8, 2026

Creative Writing – Students will be inspired to unleash their inner author. They will learn new creative writing techniques, experiment with storytelling, create their own unique stories. { register }

October 13, 2026

Early Settlers – Students will travel back in time to explore pivotal moments in American history. They will learn about key figures and events, which shaped early America. { register }

November 10, 2026

Structure and Bridges – Students will have hands-on building and innovating build while exploring the principles of architecture. and different types of bridges. They will test their building, using an earthquake simulator, to see if they created a sound structure. { register }

December 8, 2026

Ice and Snow Experiments – Students will enjoy conducting experiments reflective of the winter season. { register }
