Presenting 2025 Homeschool Graduate Savannah Cross

Savannah Cross is a HomeLife Academy student and has been homeschooled for two years. Although Savanah was homeschooled for a short time, she grew in personal awareness and discipline. She shared a bit about her home school experience and has some great tips for fellow homeschoolers.
BENEFITS: I enjoyed the creative freedom it provided me. Homeschooling gave my a lot of free time to figure out what I wanted to do and who I wanted to be.
CHALLENGES: I struggled with procrastination, but I came up with a plan and disciplined myself.
For older children especially, it can be hard to socialize when homeschooled. I just recommend getting as involved as you can. There are sports organizations specifically for homeschoolers. Also, church groups and co-ops to met people. Just do your best! The Lord will provide!
FAVORITE MEMORY: I really enjoyed just getting to spend time together as a family.
TIPS FOR STUDENTS: Do what your parents ask of you! Get it over with and don’t complain about it. They are doing it because they love you.
TIPS FOR PARENTS: Remember all of your children are different and are going to learn in different ways and at different speeds. That was the way my mother did it and it was very helpful to me and my siblings.
FUTURE: I plan to attend Union University in the fall of 2025 and major in elementary education.
