JACKSON, TENN. – Jackson State Community College (JSCC) Athletics and Director of Athletics Dr. Kevin K. Lynum have announced the hiring of Khahina Yisrael as Assistant Women’s Flag Football Coach, bringing elite playing experience and a championship mindset to the Green Jay program.
Yisrael joins Jackson State following a decorated career in both flag and tackle football, where she established herself as one of the top defensive performers in the women’s game. She competed professionally in the Women’s National Football Conference (WNFC), earning Defensive Rookie MVP honors and All-Pro recognition, while consistently performing at a high level against national competition.
“Coach Yisrael brings a unique combination of high-level playing experience, leadership, and passion for the game,” said Dr. Lynum. “As we continue to build our women’s flag football program, it was important to add someone who understands the game at an elite level and can connect with our student-athletes. She is a winner and a competitor, and we are excited to welcome her to Jackson State.”
In addition to her success in tackle football, Yisrael was a key contributor in the Atlanta Women’s Flag Football League, helping lead her team to a league championship while showcasing her versatility as a two-way player and defensive leader.
Yisrael’s background extends beyond the field, as she brings coaching experience at the high school level along with a strong foundation in education and athlete development. She has demonstrated the ability to build structured training systems, develop talent, and foster a disciplined, high-performance culture.
“I am honored and excited for the opportunity to join Jackson State Community College,” said Yisrael. “I look forward to helping build a competitive program that develops strong, disciplined student-athletes and competes at a high level.”
Yisrael’s addition further strengthens Jackson State’s commitment to building a premier women’s flag football program as the sport continues to grow nationally.
