Have You Considered Homeschool? Information Session to be Held

Homeschool Roster is hosting a free Education Information Session: Have You Considered Homeschool? at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library { 213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008 } on Saturday, May 2, 2026.

SESSION SUMMARY

An overview of how to legally homeschool in Tennessee, homeschool styles, curriculum options, sports, local resources for homeschoolers, and an open time for attendees to get their home school questions answered.

If you have ever considered home school and thought the option was impossible for you, come learn more about the education option. Many parents are choosing home school to provide their children with an education experience that is tailored to them.


JENNIFER SMELTSER

Jennifer has homeschooled for more than 16 years, graduated two children – two college graduates and cherishing the last year of homeschooling her third child. She has experience navigating the high school years catering to the learning styles and needs of her children, while preparing them for college and career. Jennifer believes the learning environment is not confined to four walls. She is an academic homeschool counselor with a focus on TSSAA sports and was a Tennessee Promise mentor for seven years.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required to attend. Register for the Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. session at the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library.
