FIELD TRIPS
The 2026/2027 field trip season registration is open! See what’s on the schedule and what now has open registration. The new field trip season kicks off with the annual Homeschool Roster Back-to-Homeschool Splash.
Be sure to Join the Homeschool Roster – Get Out of the House group to not miss any updates. In the meantime, get your free Homeschool Roster account, so you can start registering for field trips.

Notice of Intent to Home School forms are due from Independent Homeschoolers. Last day to submit the form is the first day of public school in your district.
August 1 – Class of 2026 using the Tennessee Promise scholarship must submit a minimum of 16 community service hours to remain Tennessee Promise eligible. Class of 2027 students may complete community service hours now to meet the 2027 requirement.
Tennessee Promise application is open for the Class of 2027.

Registration for the August 7 Back-to-Homeschool Splash opens at 12 p.m. CT.
Last day for the Well-Trained Mind Summer Sale.
Chickasaw State Park { 20 Cabin Lane, Henderson, 38340 } is presenting a Raptor Lunch! program at the Nature Center from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. The program is free.
Chickasaw State Park { 20 Cabin Lane, Henderson, 38340 } is offering an Atlatl Throwing program from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. The program is free and registration is required.
Show your Tennessee State issued I.D. and get free admission at the National Civil Rights Museum from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Phoenix Theatres Entertainment Free Summer Movie Series has new movies this week at theaters in West Tennessee. Featured this week are The Boss Baby and Abominable. Learn more about the series and see trailers for the current and upcoming movies.
Tennessee Tuesday free admission at the Memphis Zoo from 9 am. to 6 p.m. (close of gates). Advanced reservations are required for all guests and only six tickets per reservation.
Gaze into the stars for “Forward! to the Moon!”, a free planetarium show at the University of Lambuth M.D. Anderson Planetarium { 299 Maple Street, Jackson, 38301 } at 5:30 p.m.

Court is in session from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Metal Museum { 374 Metal Museum Drive, Memphis, 38106 } offers free admission to Tennessee residents with a Tennessee state issued photo ID for visitors 18 years of age or older. Visitors under the age of 17 without a state issued photo ID must be accompanied by a current Tennessee resident with a valid photo ID.
Chickasaw State Park { 20 Cabin Lane, Henderson, 38340 } is presenting a What’s Pelt? program at the Nature Center from 10 a.m. to 10: 45 a.m. The program is free.

Chickasaw State Park { 20 Cabin Lane, Henderson, 38340 } is offering a Paper Making program at the Nature Center at 2 p.m. Registration is required and the price is $3.
Tennessee Soccer Referee Program Certification Class will be held in Memphis from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
