Ballet Arts Holds Auditions for 2025/2026 Season

Ballet Arts will hold auditions for its 2025/2026 season on Saturday, August 9, 2025, for its five structured parts of the company that includes Apprentice Membership. Junior Trainee Membership, Junior Performing Membership, Senior Performing Membership, and Enrichment Membership. The company is preparing for its upcoming season that begins with the 44th annual production of The Nutcracker that will be performed December 2025 and for its spring production of The Little Mermaid, which will be performed April 2026, both at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in Jackson.
Those auditioning are expected to have previous training experience in the art of ballet and have reached a certain skill level. An Apprentice or Junior Trainee member must have at least two years of formal ballet training and be dancing at an upper beginner level or intermediate level. They must also be 10 years old on or by Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Junior Performing Membership and and Senior Performing Membership pointe work should be suitable for intermediate and above level (usually, but not limited to, four or more years). They must be at least 13 years old on or by October 1, 2025. College or high school graduates interested in auditioning should contact Caroline Meinert, Ballet Arts Artistic Director.
A mandatory meeting for all new members will be held at 8 a.m., prior to auditions, which will follow at:
Apprentice Member Auditions – 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Performing Member Auditions – 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
