UTC to Host Spring Into STEAM Event {video}
The UTC Challenger STEM Learning Center will present Spring into STEAM, a hands-on event of learning and fun, for families. Spring into STEAM will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, on the University of Tennessee Chattanooga campus.
Ever wonder how a bright, sunny day in Chattanooga suddenly turns into a localized downpour over Lookout Mountain? You don’t need a weather satellite to find out—you just need some shaving cream and food coloring!
If you are wondering the type of learning and fun your children will have, check out the Raincloud in a Jar science experiment. It gives children a cool way to see how weather works going from a sunny day to a rain filled day. Grab the supplies of a glass, water, food dye, and shaving cream and let your child experiment.
If they enjoyed the experiment, they will enjoy more of the same at the Spring into STEAM event.
