CPR and AED (training and certification), and First Aid and Narcan (training)
Homeschool Roster has scheduled First Aid/CPR/AED and Narcan training in the Bolivar and Jackson areas. They will be taught by a Jackson Fire Department fireman who is a certified emergency medical responder. The class follows American Heart Association instruction. Upon the successful completion of the class, students will receive two year CPR and AED certifications. Read more about a class that was held in Bolivar.
EVENT DETAILS
The First Aid/CPR/AED classes are being conducted for children through adults. There is a lot of material to process (ex: reading and comprehension of material, etc.) and the class is extremely physical (ex: ability to administer compressions, lift a body – 55 pounds or more, etc.). If you believe your child is able to understand the material and complete the physical part of the class, they should be able to participate. Please decide before registering, because refunds will not be given after the registration deadline.
Being First Aid/CPR/AED certified can be helpful for personal education and/or recertification as well as job proficiency – lifeguard (use certification towards requirements), baby sitter, basic job requirement (ex: OSHA), badges (ex: Trail Life, Boy Scouts, Heritage Girls, etc.).

SUGGESTED AGE/GRADE
This class is for students in seventh grade through adult. If you have a younger student who would like to attend, contact [email protected] with questions. Students must be able to manage the physical aspect (ex: lifting victim, chest compressions, etc.) of the course as well as comprehend the material. Adults may also attend the course.
NOTES
You must be present for the full length of the class and meet course objectives to receive certification. If you are late or miss the class, you will not receive a refund or be able to apply the funds to a different class date.
