Lights, Camera, Action – Free Cinematography Workshop Offered to Teens
If your high school sophomore through senior has an interest in learning about cinematography, the free Cinematography Workshop: Shoot An Industry – Quality Music Video may one they should attend. The workshop is presented Memphis Music Initiative will be taught by Jason Thibodeaux of Millennium Media Label and his crew.
Teens in Shelby County and its surrounding areas are invited to attend the two-day workshop that will be held over two weekends. Students will learn the process, from beginning to end of making a music video.
“Youth will have an opportunity to learn about and participate in the creation of an industry quality music video, learning things such as working a cinematographer’s camera, sound and lighting, and production,” said Brandy Casséus, Program Manager, MMI WORKS. “We hope youth will learn about the ins-and-outs of cinematography and the creation of music videos, gain valuable behind the scenes knowledge and skills, build community with other creative youth, add to their creative portfolio, and have fun!”
Ms. Casséus encourages students interested in participating to register soon as spots are limited.
