Presenting 2025 Homeschool Graduate Hannah Hill

Hannah Hill is a HomeLife Academy student and has been homeschooled for two years. She has a passion of knowledge and writing. Hannah took a moment to reflect on her years of home school while sharing some benefits and challenges, which caused her to grow.
BENEFITS: I enjoyed how it bettered my mental health and also strengthened my knowledge in classes that wouldn’t have done the same in a public school. It allowed me to take dual enrollment courses, which helped me open my eyes and also created new interests for me.
CHALLENGES: Being at home the majority of the week definitely made me lose some motivation in getting up out of bed at a certain time. Getting a job helped me fix this and also doing stuff for myself, like going on a drive.
FAVORITE MEMORY: I liked meeting other home schooled students my age.
TIPS FOR STUDENTS: Don’t get caught up in having so much free time. Keep a routine for yourself.
TIPS FOR PARENTS: Look for local events to bring your student to.
FUTURE: I plan to attend Jackson State Community College and major in psychology using the Tennessee Promise scholarship. Afterwards, I want to attend the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga to further my education. My focus aims to be in helping adolescents and intently listening to their struggles while offering immediate support. One day, I wish to become a freelance author to standalone books.
Hannah’s West Tennessee Favorites
Favorite place to eat: My favorite place to eat is at the Asia Garden in Jackson.
Favorite place to go: My favorite place to go is Jackson.
Favorite thing to do: My favorite thing to do is view natural landscape.
