Presenting 2025 Homeschool Graduate Jade Delaney

Jade Delaney is a HomeLife Academy student and has been homeschooled for six years. She is very passionate about animals and hopes to have a career with them. Jade has a strong hobby in cosplay, poetry, and photography. She also has a love for uncommon fashions.

Jade took a moment to reflect on her years of home school while sharing some benefits and challenges she experienced along the way.

BENEFITS: Home school allowed me to be more creative with myself, to spend more time with animals, and more time outside. I liked not being bullied and my mom being my teacher. Home school can be a good option, because everyone learns differently. It allows you to learn at your own pace as fast or as slow as you need.

CHALLENGES: My dad passed away and I still had to make myself finish even though I didn’t and still don’t feel like it.

FAVORITE MEMORY: One of my favorite memories was when my dad and I went to the Pinson Mounds.

TIPS FOR STUDENTS: Don’t be hard on yourself. It’s challenging yes, but in the end, you got this!

TIPS FOR PARENTS: Don’t push them too hard! Try to see yourself in their shoes.

FUTURE: My goal is to become an exotic animal veterinarian. I absolutely love animals and own three rats and they are my world. I would do anything to help them. So, I want to do that for other people too. I also hope to continue with my passions and hobbies as I go through college.

Jade’s West Tennessee Favorites

Favorite place to eat: My favorite place to east is at Pericos in Arlington.

Favorite place to go: My favorite place to go is Bäckermann’s Country Market in Whtieville.

Favorite thing to do: My favorite thing to do is drive around the Hatchie National Wildlife Refuge in Brownsville.

Congratulations to Jade, who is participating in the Homeschool Roster Homeschool Graduation 2025!
