IEW Taking Submissions for Annual Writing Contest

The IEW Writing Contest is open to students ages eight to 18 years old.

The Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) known for creating curriculum, which brings out the writer in all – from the reluctant writer to the lover of the skill – is holding its eleventh annual writing contest for students ages eight to 18 years old. Being a user of the curriculum is not necessary for students to participate in the writing contest.

Not only will students have the opportunity to win prizes, but their parent/teacher will too!

First Prize: $400 (for student) + $400 IEW gift certificate (for parent or teacher)

Second Prize: $200 (for student) + $200 IEW gift certificate (for parent or teacher)

Third Prize: $100 (for student) + $100 IEW gift certificate (for parent or teacher)

There are three categories for writing contestants, which are Level A (ages 8–10), Level B (ages 11–13), and Level C (ages 14–18). Each level will have a writing prompt for the competition.
