Fall Homeschool Days at the Memphis Botanic Garden

The Memphis Botanic Garden (MBG) is hosting its fall Homeschool Days in September, October, November, and December. The programming will be held on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and is geared towards students ages six and older. Each Homeschool Day has a theme and hands-on activities that will keep students engaged.

Insects vs. Spiders – September 8, 2025

Students will learn everything about these creepy crawlies and how they help our gardens grow.

Down in the DeltaOctober 6, 2025

Explore the Delta Garden and learn about harvesting and preservation practices from long ago.

Roots & Shoots – November 10, 2025 {NEW DATE!}

Explore the differences between fruits and vegetables, and learn how to “Eat a Rainbow.”

Nature Journaling 101 – December 1, 2025

Develop your observation skills through art and gain a deeper connection with the natural world around you.


Homeschool Day admission for students ages six and older is $60 for MBG members and $80 for non-members. Homeschool Days pricing for parent/adult members is free with proof of membership and a non-member parent/adult will pay the garden admission upon entry. Registration is required and classes are held rain or shine. Registering, at least one week in advance of the class date, is recommended.
