It has been a winter wonderland week. With the warmer weather returning, it is time for some normalcy. FIELD TRIPS
We have a few field trips scheduled for this week and will be adding more to the calendar for March and April. Some will have quick registration and payment deadlines. Jackson Symphony League Holds Color of Music Art Contest 2023/2024

Each year, kindergarten through eighth grade students across West Tennessee share their artistic talent and creativity producing beautiful artwork for the Jackson Symphony League’s Color of Music art contest. The deadline for art submissions has been extended. { read to learn how your child can participate }

Discovery Park of America Offering Free Admission
The Discovery Park of America is partnering with Magnolia Place Assisted Living and offering free admission for January 2024 to children 17 years of age and younger as the museum and heritage park kicks off the celebration of its eleventh birthday.

Obion County homeschool students have their Tennessee Promise Team Meeting on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 3:30 p.m. Call to confirm the school will be open and not closed due to road safety.

TUESDAY, January 23, 2024
FIELD TRIP: Homeschool Roster is heading to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The WTHEA Warriors basketball will play against Central Baptist at Popular Heights Baptist Church, 1980 Hollywood Drive, Jackson, Tennessee, 38305, at 5 p.m.

WEDNESDAY, January 24, 2024
FIELD TRIP
: Homeschool Roster is heading to Buff City Soap.

The Mid-South Ice House is offering a Homeschool Learn to Skate Program every Wednesday, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. All ages from three to adult are welcome to attend. After the class, students are invited to stay free for the weekly Homeschool Skate from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

DEADLINE: Color of Music Art Contest 2023/2024 submissions are due.

THURSDAY, January 25, 2024
FIELD TRIP
: Homeschool Roster is heading to see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

FIELD TRIP: Homeschool Roster is heading to Cenicienta: A Bilingual Cinderella Story.

Parents are invited to tour Fayette Christian School (FCS) Homeschool Network to learn about its homeschool program offerings. Register for group tours that will be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Chester County homeschool students have their Tennessee Promise Team Meeting at Chester County High School. Call to confirm the school will be open and not closed to to road safety.

Madison County homeschool students have their Tennessee Promise Team Meeting at Jackson State Community College.

Tipton County homeschool students have their Tennessee Promise Team Meeting at Brighton High School.

FIELD TRIP: Homeschool Roster is heading to a hands-on experience of Donut Making.

FIELD TRIP: Homeschool Roster is heading to Cenicienta: A Bilingual Cinderella Story.

The WTHEA Warriors basketball will play against Desoto Christian Academy on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 5 p.m. at Popular Heights Baptist Church, 1980 Hollywood Drive, Jackson, Tennessee, 38305.

Union University Engineering Department is holding 3DP Fridays at the university.

All Tennessee Promise applicants are required to attend a team meeting to remain eligible for the scholarship. Students should attend the team meeting that is held in the county where they live. READ MORE
